The Palash

The Palash sits off Agara Main Road, past Tataguni, on the quieter side of the Kanakapura Road corridor. It is a farmhouse property rather than a hall: lawns, mature trees, an open amphitheatre that takes decor well and photographs better, and a villa on site that sleeps fifteen to twenty, so the immediate family can stay together the night before.

It is properly interior, which is the point of it, and worth planning around. There is no sign board on the main road, so send your guests a map pin rather than an address, and ask drivers to arrive before dark. Fix a meeting point with your decorator and caterer in advance rather than relying on calling them once everyone is on site.

A morning function on the amphitheatre stage gets full sun. If your muhurtham is before noon, ask about shade for the stage when you book. And take the dining area rather than feeding people in the amphitheatre.
