About Shankaraa

Most wedding venues give you a flat lawn and let the decorator do the rest. Shankaraa gives you an amphitheatre. Stone terraces step down through mature trees toward a stage at the base, so the ceremony happens below the guests rather than in front of them, and everyone sitting on the upper tiers has a clear view of the mandap without craning.

It changes how a wedding feels. A flat hall puts the back rows at a disadvantage; here the geometry does the work. The tiers also photograph unusually well after dark, when the lighting runs along each terrace and the whole slope reads as one composition.

The setting is a cultural foundation rather than a commercial banquet business, and it shows in the details carved stone pillars set among the trees, a circular canopied platform ringed with columns, and a general restraint that suits a Vedic ceremony more than a stage-managed reception.

Practical notes. The ceremony space is entirely open-air, so a monsoon date needs thinking about there is covered space, but it is the dining area, not an alternative ceremony venue. Outside catering is allowed, which gives you room to negotiate on the largest single line in your budget. Parking is on site. It holds up to 1,000 guests across the property, with around 500 seated.
