Wedding venues in Yelahanka

Yelahanka works for two kinds of family: those already settled across north Bangalore, and those with a lot of guests flying in. It sits on the airport side of the city, which means the drive from Kempegowda International is short and predictable in a way that almost nowhere else in Bangalore manages.

The venues here tend to be open lawns with real room to them. North Bangalore developed later and less densely than the south, so wedding properties in this direction still have land, enough for a full-sized lawn, a separate dining area, and parking that does not spill onto the road.

Running the whole wedding on one property

The practical advantage of a larger lawn is that you stop shuttling people. The muhurtham can happen on the lawn in the morning and the reception can happen on the same grounds that evening, with the dining laid out separately, so guests are never being moved from one venue to another mid-event.

For weddings in the eight hundred to fifteen hundred guest range, that single factor tends to matter more than anything else on the checklist.

Season and timing

North Bangalore is noticeably cooler and windier in December and January than the south of the city. For an outdoor evening reception this is mostly pleasant, but it is worth asking the venue how exposed the lawn is and whether they can put up side screens if the wind picks up.

If a large part of your guest list is arriving by air, fixing the muhurtham slightly later in the morning gives people a realistic chance of making it straight from the airport.
