Srishti Vilasa

Srishti Vilasa is a 4-acre property at Somanahalli, on Thattaguppe Road off Kanakapura Road. It has two main spaces: Srishti, a semi-covered hall under a Mangalore-tile roof, and Vilasa, an open lawn with a stage. There is a separate covered dining hall that seats about two hundred at a sitting, an open area for live counters, a Ganesha temple on site and a pre-function area where guests are welcomed.

There are 25 air-conditioned rooms, including two suites for the bride and groom, and reviewers say the rooms and bathrooms are clean and each has a geyser. Families stay here for two or three days around the wedding. There are two parking areas for over two hundred cars.

You can bring your own caterer or use the venue's. Alcohol is not served by the venue, but outside alcohol is allowed. Decoration has to come from the venue's own panel, and there is no in-house DJ, though an outside DJ is allowed.

It is a quiet, remote place, which is the draw and the catch. One guest found it hard to reach in the rain, with no shelter and little street lighting, so plan transport for elderly guests and ask what cover the lawn has. Recent reviews also mention slow communication and uneven upkeep, so get capacity, dates and inclusions in writing.
