What we collect

When you enquire about a venue, we ask for:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• The date of your function
• The approximate number of guests

We only collect what you type in or tell us on the phone. We do not ask for your address, your budget, or any identity documents.

Our website does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels or analytics that follow you across other sites.

Why we collect it

We use your details to:

• Check whether the venues you are interested in are free on your date
• Arrange a visit
• Call or message you back about your enquiry

We do not send marketing messages to people who have only enquired, and we do not sell or rent your details to anyone.

Who we share it with

When you enquire about a venue, we pass your name, phone number, function date and guest count to the manager of that venue so they can confirm availability and prepare for your visit. This is the whole point of the enquiry, and it is how we are able to offer the service without charging you a booking fee.

We share your details only with the venues relevant to your enquiry. We do not circulate them to every venue we list.

Once the venue has your details, the venue is responsible for how it handles them under its own policies.

Apart from venue managers, we share information only where the law requires it.

Other services on this site

Our venue pages embed a map from Google Maps so you can see where a venue is. When that map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. This is Google's processing, governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to help with your wedding, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our own records. If you ask us to delete your details, we will.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your information
• Withdraw your consent to us holding it

Write to events@venueplan.com and we will respond as quickly as we can. There is no charge for any of this.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging a wedding. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Please check it from time to time.
