Bougainvilla

Kanakapura Roadnear Bolare, K.G. Gollarapalya, Bengaluru, Karnataka 562109

Floating mantap at Bougainvilla wedding venue

Past Bolare on Kanakapura Road sits a property that reads less like a rented hall and more like something built by a person who had sat through a great many weddings first. Lakshmi Keerthi spent two decades planning them before designing this one, and the layout carries that experience: rooms where families get ready, a route the procession can actually take, somewhere for the dinner queue to form without blocking anything else.

What people book it for is the mandap. It stands out over water, reached by a narrow walkway, so the ceremony takes place with the estate mirrored on every side. The pillars and arches behind it borrow from Jaipur — arches, ochre, carved stone — enough to feel like a North Indian palace, not so much that it tips into pastiche.

Five celebration spaces make a multi-day wedding workable without anyone shifting venue. Sumeera is the largest, opening directly onto the floating mandap. Floral Trellis has a retractable roof, unusual for Bengaluru, which means a monsoon-season sangeet doesn't need a fallback plan. Divine Bells is open lawn; Margarita is a tropical garden; Ice Spice is semi-indoor and suits haldi or a smaller family lunch.

Guest rooms on site mean out-station relatives stay put through the celebration rather than shuttling in from a hotel each morning. There's a temple in the grounds for couples who want the muhurtham conducted here, mature trees through the gardens, and enough parking that a full-strength guest list doesn't spill onto the road.

For families in JP Nagar, Jayanagar, Banashankari or off Bannerghatta Road, it delivers a destination wedding without the travel.
