The Peacock Grove

Heritage farmhouse in Yelahanka with dedicated mantaps and courtyards for each ceremony

YelahankaThe Peacock Grove Farms, Bylakere–Veerasagara Road, Yelahanka, Bengaluru 560090

A heritage farmhouse on Bylakere–Veerasagara Road in Yelahanka, built around courtyards rather than halls. Where most venues give you a lawn and leave the rituals to the decorator, this one has specific spaces for specific ceremonies — and if you are planning a traditional South Indian wedding, that is the whole point.

The main arena has three mantaps: the elevated east-facing Royal Mantap, a Viewing Mantap, and a smaller Stone Mantap, with open seating for 250 and a floating capacity of 500 to 600. The open area can be covered with pagoda tents if the weather needs it.

Around that sit two courtyards. The Fortyard is a traditional open courtyard suited to the groom's welcome, kashi yatra, oonjal and varpooje. The Chavadi is the inner courtyard, better for mehendi, haldi and bale shastra. Having each function in its own space, rather than resetting one hall three times, is what makes a multi-ceremony wedding run calmly.

For dining there is a semi-covered banquet hall seating 200, and a separate dining hall set up for plantain-leaf seated dining for 150 to 180. Thirteen rooms accommodate 60 to 70 guests, including a two-bedroom heritage bungalow for the bride and groom, and traditionally built non-AC rooms in the Chavadi.
