Goldfinch Retreat Bengaluru

Goldfinch Retreat has been operating at Devanahalli since 2012, which makes it one of the longer-established properties on the airport corridor. The building blends Indian and contemporary design, and it functions as a four-star hotel rather than a hall hired by the day.

The lawn is the main wedding space, seating five hundred and taking a thousand standing. Three banquet halls sit indoors at 120, 100 and 60 seated, which covers the engagement, the mehendi and the smaller family functions without any of them borrowing the main space. The poolside takes eighty seated and is where the haldi usually happens.

Forty-one rooms mean the bride's and groom's families and a good share of outstation guests stay on the property rather than commuting from hotels on the airport road.

What stands out is how few restrictions there are. Catering can be in-house or brought in. Outside decorators are permitted. There is an in-house DJ and outside DJs are allowed. Alcohol is served by the venue and outside alcohol is also permitted — a combination almost no other venue on this corridor offers. Functions of under fifty guests are accepted too.
