Meenakshi Kalyana Mantapa

Meenakshi is on Rajarajeshwari Temple Road in BHEL Layout, on a large site, which is the reason it gets used for the big wedding. The hall and the dining area sit together, with seating listed at 600 and up to 900 with people standing.

The hall is not air-conditioned and the facilities are dated. Visit on a weekday and look at the toilets and the kitchen rather than the stage. The eleven changing rooms are air-conditioned and complimentary, which helps.

Outside caterers and outside decorators are both allowed, and the venue provides no food. There is no alcohol, including your own, and no non-vegetarian food on the premises.

Parking is listed at 150 vehicles. On a peak Sunday it is the part that goes wrong, so ask how they manage the gate and where the overflow goes. There are no rooms to stay in.
