Earthen Courtyard

Earthen Courtyard is a tree-canopied garden with artificial grass on 80 Feet Road at Subramanyapura. It takes ten to two hundred guests and is run for the functions around a wedding: haldi, engagement, seemantham, naming ceremonies and housewarmings. It is not marketed for the wedding itself. The rental is a five-hour slot, morning or evening, with music off by ten at night.

The main lawn has a 40 by 20 foot waterproof tent over it, and there is a shamiyana for the dining set-up, so a shower will not end the function. Everything else is open air, so ask what happens in the afternoon sun and what they provide for the cold. One reviewer asked for air coolers and did not get them.

There is no in-house caterer. Bring your own, or ask them for recommendations. Outside caterers can plate, fry and grill on site but cannot cook from scratch, so a full wedding-style menu is not what this place is set up for. Decoration is done only by the venue's own stylist, and outside decorators are not permitted. Alcohol and paan are not allowed.

There is no parking lot: guests park along the road, so tell them before the day. The listing mentions one toilet and a private change room, which is thin for two hundred people. Ask how many there will be for your headcount.
